  • Foundation Centrum '45

  • International Trauma Studies Program

    Founded in 1998, the International Trauma Studies Program was created as a trans-department collaboration among the Department of Psychiatry, NYU School of Medicine and other schools and departments within the University - the Ehrenkrantz School of Social Work, the Division of Nursing and Department of Applied Psychology from the School of Education, and the Center for War, Peace, and the News Media at the School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

  • Physicians for Human Rights - USA

    Since 1986, PHR members have worked to stop torture, disappearances, and political killings by governments and opposition groups; to improve health and sanitary conditions in prisons and detention centers; to investigate the physical and psychological consequences of violations of humanitarian law in internal and international conflicts; to defend medical neutrality and the right of civilians and combatants to receive medical care during times of war; to protect health professionals who are victims of violations of human rights; and to prevent medical complicity in torture and other abuses.

    PsySR uses psychological knowledge and skills to promote peace with social justice at the community, national and international levels.

  • REDRESS

    REDRESS is a London based, internationally focused, non-profit legal / human rights organisation. Founded on Human Rights Day 10th December 1992, REDRESS helps torture survivors use available legal remedies to obtain reparation and to campaign for effective remedies where they do not exist. Reparation plays an important part in healing and restoring the lives of those who have been tortured.

  • The International Rehabilitation Council for Torture of Victims (IRCT)

    IRCT supports a global movement of rehabilitation centres working on behalf of victims of torture. The IRCT is an international, independent health professional organization which promotes and supports the rehabilitation of torture victims and works for the prevention of torture worldwide.

  • The International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS)

    ISTSS was founded in 1985 for professionals to share information about the effects of trauma. ISTSS is dedicated to the discovery and dissemination of knowledge about policy, program and service initiatives that seek to reduce traumatic stressors and their immediate and long-term consequences.

  • World Organization Against Torture (OMCT)

    OMCT is today the largest international coalition of NGOs fighting against torture, summary executions, forced disappearances and all other forms of cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment in order to preserve Human Rights.
